Free2Teach School/Grid/Hand-in is a great school network management software however it has been discontinued so support is not there and attempting to get the software to work is really annoying. I have failed at doing it however if you want the grid then you just edit the database file. All users must be domain admins which can cause some issues. Overall if you have it don't use it, Use something like Impero or NetSupport School.

Free2Teach School/Grid/Hand-in is a great school network management product. However it has been discontinued so support is denied and trying to get the service to work is really hard. I have failed at getting it too work however if you wish to just use the Grid then all you have to do is Edit the Database File.
The installation is complex but it is quite easy. All you do is share the Free2Teach folder to free2teach$ and then install school manager and grid/client service to all workstations and it is working. However all users must be Domain Admins. I did this by using Group Policy and restricting access to Admin Tools.
Overall a good product.

Teacher, It's not a 'good' product though, the only thing that is working is the Grid which yes is good but you can't manage the grid other than editing the database file which is complicated. Let alone the security issues with having all users set to Domain Admins.
